For the sand the elders are kankuro and temari. Gaara died protecting the sand.
Now the plot of the sand is that were gearing up for war but keep getting attacked by the akatsuki which fail misserably. The kazekage, shura and a few of his soldiers are sleeper agents for the akatsuki. Shukaku has been captured and sealed.

There are about four akatsuki agents and their leader Fumito, the akatsuki have placed sleeper agents in all villages and are also gearing up for war as well. The origanal generation of akatsuki had all died off but talks about their revival have stirred in the akatsuki. The Akatsuki will probably go for the tailed beasts.

The Rock village is nothing more then a crime invested village the Tsuchikage is working with the Akatsuki and has given them the village. The Tsuchikage is fighting along side the Akatsuki and keeps trying to take over the Sand village.

right now the leaf is getting ready for the war. and we've realized that we might have a traitor among us. sending out ninja to spy on this person. we have just got a hold of the Kyuubi. so are strength has grown greatly.
